Are survey sites safe?

I need some money but I'm no old enough to get a real job. I looked online at all the survey sites and it seems legitimate. I don't want to get into something that is good at first but then i owe a lot of money or something. All the sites say they have a secure privacy policy but I don't know weather or not to trust it. Help!
