I caught him cheating and he basically didn't deal with me. Now we are married and I think it is okay to do it?

When I snooped his old text messeges on his old phone. I found out that it looked like he was unfaithful. When I confronted him he got really angry and his excuse is that I violated his privacy and that we don't have a relationship if I don't trust him. Now I wanna do it to him even though we are married now.
