Should I confront him?

ask him what happened, and be tottally chill about it don't look panicked or anything. Just be like "hey so wierd but u called me yesterday and it was in the background and you said i don't wanna sacrafice myself? haha pretty funny! what were you doing?" you wanna be calm about it and noo you shouldn't be worried i'm sure its just a misunderstanding.
