Electricians help me please?

On the side of the receptacle is a small brass jumper that is designed to be removed when 1 half of the receptacle is switched and the other half is always hot. This should be removed with the power off on the brass (hot) side only. Remove and inspect every receptacle that is not acting properly. It is quite possible that a wire is shorted in one of the boxes. It will take some time to locate but you did it, you can fix it.
