So like, my toaster is on fire... Is that normal?

So like, someone told me how to make toast, but like my toaster has gone like all weird and it's like a really yellow fire. Is it supposed to like catch fire when it burns the toast cause like it smells like toast. I've left the toaster on my like kitchen floor and it's like still on fire and it's burning into the floor. Do I just like wait for the fire to go out and get the toast afterwards?
